Kingston City Council will host the annual Globe to Globe World Music festival on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 January 2010 at Namatjira Park in Clayton South. This festival is a celebration of our multi-cultural community and is sure to entertain everyone with its world music, great performers, rides & amusements, exotic food and spectacular fireworks on Saturday evening.

Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival runs from 10-17 October at Caulfield racecourse this year. Hemisphere Conference Centre & HOTEL is pleased to announce that the next Melbourne Business Awards breakfast will take place on Friday, 9th October 2009 in Infuse Restaurant, featuring Phil King as guest speaker.

The Melbourne Business Awards holds a breakfast presentation bi-monthly, attracting over 200 guests. Each breakfast features a guest speaker who delivers a motivational presentation and two award nominees from local businesses who give an overview of their success and challenges.
MBA started 17 years ago to provide a forum to recognise achievements from small to medium sized enterprises within the south east region including Moorabbin, Cheltenham, Highett, Clayton, Mordialloc, Braeside and Chelsea Heights.

The Club Marine Sail Boat Show will be held at Sandringham Yacht Club's new premises over the weekend of 14 & 15 November 2009. This is Melbourne's only dedicated sail boat show and considered one of the best boutique sail only shows in the country. The show attracts up to 10,000 visitors and over 2,100 Sandringham Yacht Club members over the weekend.

The 2009 Sail Melbourne event will take place at Sandringham Yacht Club from 14-19 December.

Sail Melbourne is the major event of Yachting Victoria and is held annually in December-January. It attracts more than 2000 competitors from approximately 30 different countries.

This event began in 1994 and has grown into one of only five ISAF [International Sailing Federation Club] Grade 1 events held annually around the world and the only one in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Australian Masters Squash Association Championship will be held in Melbourne from the 7th-18th September 2009 at Moorabbin Squash & Fitness Centre which is located in Moorabbin, only 3 minutes drive from Hemisphere Conference Centre & HOTEL.

This two week event consists of the Individual Championships which will take place in the first week and the Interstate Team Series which will take place in the second week.

The association will also host the Masters Trans Tasman Test Series between New Zealand and Australia. It will be a best of 3 test series the first will be on Thursday, 3rd September in Shepparton, the second will be on Saturday, 5th September at Westerfold Squash Centre in Templestowe and the third will be on Saturday, 12th September at the Moorabbin Squash Centre. These events offer free access to the general public who wish to watch good masters squash.

One of the most popular events on the Bayside calendar for many years has been the Bayside Christmas Carols in the Park.
 
Bring along your best singing voice, a picnic rug and join family, friends, a 100-strong choir and 50-piece band in celebrating the festive season.

With the annual attendance growing to more than 14,000 people, the 2009 event is set to be bigger and better than ever! Visitors can expect standout performances by some of Bayside’s most talented performers, rising stars and local schools.

Entertaining performances will keep children dancing and parents and friends clapping and cheering for more, while waiting for a special guest appearance by Santa.

The Bayside Christmas Carols in the Park will be held at Dendy Park, Brighton on Tuesday 8 December 2009. The line-up of performers will be something not to be missed, so mark this date in your diary.
